About Matthew McKinney

Matthew McKinney is a Registered Counsellor, a Deep Nature Connection Facilitator, and a Musical Storyteller, living in the unceded territories of the Q’uwutsun and WSANEC and Penelakut peoples. He was born and raised in the outskirts of the city of Chicago, Illinois in the territories of the Fox, Potowatami, Ojibwe, Ho-Chunk, Odawa, Sac, Miami, and Menominee peoples. He is a dual citizen of the United States of America and of Canada. He is honoured to belong and be responsible as a participatory voter and community member in the many lands now known as North America.

Matthew likes to spend time being creative, supporting community initiatives, helping others, being in nature, and spending time with his loving partner, friends, and family.
